It’s time to try out something new with your nail art. There are so many tips and tricks out there, but just where you do start with designs. What works and what doesn’t? While you go in search for many, there are high chances that you keep finding the same ones over and over again. Well, its’ time for something completely different with these modern nail art designs that are just too cute to resist.
Start with a Geometrical Nail Art Design
Let’s start with something simple but beautiful. Geometrical designs draw the eye in. Take this design for example. Start with just a basic blue colouring for three of your nails and then get to work with a geometric pattern on the other two with some black polish. Fill in the shapes with the blue and a white polish.
You can do this with different colours if you’d like. The light blue is excellent for the summer and the winter – it’s one of those colours that brings in all sorts of feelings. You can opt for pastel colours or deep greens for the spring and summer. Look at oranges and reds for the fall.
Try X Marks the Spot
If you want to take the geometry slightly further, you can opt for an X marks the spot style. This works extremely well when you use the beige colours in this image. You can add a nude minimalistic style with gorgeous nail art.
Opt for beige and white polish as base colours for your nails. Choose the order of colouring for your nails. This one opts for plain white on the middle two nails of one hand, but you can alternate if you’d wish.
Make an X with your white polish on the nails that you want the artwork on. In the top and bottom gaps, use the beige to make the white X stand out. Now finish off the look with a black X pattern.
Triangulate the Gold
This design is one of the easiest modern nail arts to do. Start with painting all your nails in white. Now grab some gold glittery polish and paint it in a triangular pattern, with your cuticles as the base. This works extremely well for those with shorter nails, since you draw the attention to the bottom.
If you have longer nails, try the triangle from the top. This helps to draw attention to just how long your nails really are.
Scale Your Tips
What about adding a scale-like pattern to the tips of your nails? This is something fun and you can use any colour that you want. You’ll want to round your nail edges for this pattern to work.
Keep the base of your nail clear and then whiten your tips. Draw a line in colour around the base of the tips and then add circles along the edges of your tips. Fill in the circles with some silver or grey polish.
Opt for Half and Half Nails
For this modern design, you’ll want to keep your base colour clear. Pick a darker colour for the design, painting off of the nails on a diagonal. Leave just one nail without any colouring.
On the lone nail on each hand, opt for a silvery glittery polish for the tips. It’s like a French manicure with a twist for those two nails.
There’s nothing stopping you from going modern with your nail art design. Opt for something that infuses your personality and works with your favourite colours.
